SmartFilter™, FilterJet and FilterJet Twin Systems incorporate our
revolutionary Self-Cleaning Filter. The SCF provides high flow rates
and eliminates the need to constantly change filter bags or cartridges.
Our exclusive stainless steel frame and filter housing eliminate the
problems of corrosion and rust-through found in other systems.
Stainless Steel units survive conditions that could quickly ruin other
systems. All Self-Cleaning Filters utilize a permanent stainless steel
filter element that is automatically backwashed using compressed air to
literally blow out the dirt and debris from the filter element. Using a
small burst of air, the system cleans itself in seconds. Preprogrammed
cleaning keeps the filter permeable and prevents clogging. Use of
optional ballast or twin alternating filters can achieve uninterrupted
flow. Each system comes with an electronic PLC to control self-cleaning
and motors. Gauges are provided for the air pressure regulator, filter
input, output and system pressure. Eco models use less expensive bag or
cartridge filters tailored to fit your needs.
How the filtration process works:
First the process water is ozonated in above ground or below ground
settling tanks. The ozone literally burns the grease/oil, contaminates,
organics, and other compounds out of the water via a chemical oxidation
reaction. These compounds turn into an inert chemical oxide form and
either settles out of the water or is bound together with an electrical
charge creating a larger particulate (micro flocculation) to be caught
during filtration. This ozonated wastewater is pumped to the primary
filter where any particulate larger than 25 micron (absolute) is
trapped by the filter. The systems with onboard ozone systems also
include a centrifugal particle separator to remove sand and other
particulate prior to the ozone recirculation pump. The debris from the
particle separator and that trapped by the self-cleaning filter are
purged through a backwash line and sent out to a common sump to be
pumped out, or trapped by a bag filter for disposal. The liquid that
passes through the primary filter is either 1. Repressurized and sent
out to be reused; or 2. Sent to secondary filtration GAC (granulated
activated carbon) cartridge filters, which remove debris larger than 5
microns and any emulsified chemicals or oil. This water is then
repressurized and then sent out to be reused.
Installation and Maintenance:
All reclaim systems are designed to be turn-key. Electrically they
require 3 phase for the motors and 110 vac for the electronic panel.
Plumbing requires the inlet, outlet, and backwash lines tied into your
system. Periodic maintenance required is cleaning of the strainer
basket, monitoring of the input output gauges and changing of the
cartridge filters when needed. The primary filter is a lifetime
stainless steel element and should never need replacing under normal
operating conditions.
